Have you ever wanted to re-create that favorite black dress or that top you bought 5 years ago and wish that you would have bought two? Well, now's your chance to learn how to re-create that special garment and make it in as many fabrics and prints as you'd like! During the workshop you will learn:· how to make a sewing pattern from one of your garments· how to follow the pattern to recreate your garment· how to choose appropriate fabrics· stitches and finishing techniquesSome great options for this class include:skirts: pencil, a-linepants: elastic waist, pants with an invisible zippershirts: t-shirts, tank topsSome things to avoid:button-up shirts, pants with a zipper flyPROJECTS: Pattern for the garment you’d like to copy, muslin prototype for fit and the final project. Additional sewing and finishing may be needed after class and can be done in our Sewing 102 class.
