Please Note – The guitar is a 654mm scale length appropriate for those with an 8″-9 ” spread (measure your thumb tip to pinky tip comfortably stretched).  She is a pleasure to play, even for one such as me with a 10″ spread in the hand, with easy action and play.  I had originally thought it a “645mm” but Wilson corrected me and we verified via measurement.  It is a 654mm. Further clarification from Wilson on this guitar: “The Spruce top, which is braced with old growth redwood, has a Contreras style support brace directly underneath the middle fan bracing, which I suspect makes it sound very flamenco. Back and sides are triple laminated: cypress exterior, birch veneer in the middle and maple on the interior. Macassar ebony fret board and bindings. Honduran mahogany neck with ebony reinforcement. East Indian rosewood bridge. I originally installed Schaller “Grand Tune” tuning machines with black rollers with bearings. The guitar is French polished. “ He’s a character too.  Look at his photo, you can see it in his eyes!  LOL  Good guy. Wilson Burnham in his workshop Best and feel free to give me a ring to discuss at 631-335-5447, ask for Rich About Wilson Burnham – “I hand craft classical guitars in a small studio within Taos, New Mexico, moving recently from Allen’s Park, Colorado. I use only hand tools and high quality woods to make my guitars. This allows me to make a guitar that has a true singing voice, one that is loud and has a large range of tonal colors and nuances. As a classical guitar player myself, I know the joy of playing a truly wonderful guitar – one that sings, is responsive to your playing style, is easy to play with a voice that reaches the last row of seats in a recital or concert hall, and most of all, a guitar that you fall in love with so much you never want to stop playing it. That is the kind of guitar that I make.” – Wilson Burnham Wilson wrote to me recently, saying Colorado “got too crowded for us” – all the best to a talented luthier in New Mexico!     _____________ Media Listening with high quality headphones or audio equipment is highly recommended including EQ manipulation, if possible. We record everything flat with just a touch of Reverb to relieve dryness. My goal is to record the guitar as realistically as is possible. I speak in the recordings, my thoughts about the guitar (and possibly other things?).  My speaking also serves to give you my first impressions and to also give you a balance of the engineering (or lack thereof) versus the sound of the guitar.  I simply do not have time to engineer much of anything.  Thanks. Rich MP3 Audio – 240307-2021 Wilson Burnham Teodora Spruce Cypress 654mm – The guitar really does remind of a Flamenco Hybrid with great voicing, deep basses and lilting trebles.  A breeze to play as well due to the superb setup. https://www.savageclassical.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/240307-2021-Wilson-Burnham-Teodora-Spruce-Cypress-654mm.mp3 My Solo Book of sheet music is available here if you’re interested. https://www.savageclassical.com/product/richard-f-sayage-solo-guitar-works-volume-1/ _______ Shipping Premium HSC is included in your purchase price.
